Growing Cali Critical Mass Strain

Critical Mass marijuana plants are known to be fairly easy to grow and generally will give substantial yields even if they are neglected.

These plants can grow quite large but their chief characteristic is definitely their supersized, chunky buds. The density of the buds may cause a tremendous amount of weight on branches and when pressure is applied, the branches are likely to snap. This, of course, may not be a problem for the growers who have helped the plants by adding some support.

The plants reach a height of about 5-6 feet when cultivated indoors using 600 watts of LED grow light and nutrients. The yield of these plants reaches 500-600 gr/m2 of dried buds after 8-9 weeks.

It is advisable to leave two weeks of vegetative growth. The buds produced by this growth technique are rich green in color with touches of orange.

When cultivated outside, Cali Critical Mass cannabis does well in warm climate types. They can grow up to a height of 8-9 feet. The result of each plant is 700-900 gr. Northerly latitude harvests are usually due for cropping around the middle of October.

How to Germinate Your Cali Critical Mass Feminized Seeds

PLEASE follow these 3 simple steps for best results: 

1) Empty your Cali Critical Mass cannabis seed from the capsule you received in a cup of purified room-temperature water. Don’t worry if it sinks or floats.

2) Place the container in a dark warm place (like a kitchen cabinet) for 6-24 hours, but no longer! You do NOT want a long and very delicate tap root to be growing at this stage- you just want to soften the shell.

3) After 6-24 hours- gently scoop out the seed with a spoon and place/cover in 1/2” deep in good potting soil or preferably in a soaked Jiffy pellet/peat pellet (buy Jiffy pellets from Amazon or local hardware/garden store).

* Keep the soil/pellet moist (not soaked) and warm under your grow lights – No Fertilizer!

* This strain seedlings should sprout within 4-12 days – BE PATIENT

* Now, please take a hit of that joint and enjoy the ride!

Side Note: Some suggest germinating cannabis seeds using a wet paper towel on a plate/tweezer method. We find that this method is not the best for cannabis seeds because paper towels dry out quickly and getting the germinating seeds out of the paper towel can be clumsy damaging the seedling. Using tweezers can be dangerous as soaked seeds are much more fragile.
