About Royal Dwarf Strain

Royal Dwarf Autoflower is a Skunk strain, a hybrid strain which was made in the 1970s by a group of breeders from California. It is a mix of Colombian Gold, Acapulco Gold, and Afghani Indica. Royal Dwarf is famous for its strong and pungent smell as well as its powerful effects.

Ruderalis, the other parent strain of Royal Dwarf, is a wild strain of cannabis that is found in Russia and some other parts of Eastern Europe. It is famous for its dwarfness and the capability to flower without the light cycle change.

The Royal Dwarf breeding was aimed at the production of a variety that would be easy to grow and at the same time would have the strong Sativa features of Skunk. They did it by crossing Skunk with Ruderalis genetics, hence the result is a strain that is small in size but has a strong effect.

Royal Dwarf is a small but mighty plant that is a perfect candidate for stealth growth because she’s easy to hide from the curious eyes. Thanks to her compact structure she can basically grow anywhere, you can grow her inside the smallest tents or out there in the open on your balcony.

The amount of crop that can be grown indoors is determined by different factors, such as the way of cultivation. The Sea of Green (SOG) setup is the best option for the big harvests of High Times-quality buds, which can be as much as 200g per square meter (1. 1oz/ft²).

On the other hand, when this plant is grown outdoors, it receives more space and natural sunlight which results in a yield of 30-80g (1-2.  4oz) per plant. It is necessary to compare the advantages and disadvantages of each growth medium in order to find the best way to get the highest yield.

How to Germinate Your Royal Dwarf Autoflower Cannabis Seeds

PLEASE follow these 3 simple steps for best results: 

1) Empty your Royal Dwarf Autoflower cannabis seed from the capsule you received in a cup of purified room-temperature water. Don’t worry if it sinks or floats.

2) Place container in a dark warm place (like a kitchen cabinet) for 24-48 hours, but no longer! You do NOT want a long and very delicate tap root to be growing at this stage-

3) After the 24-48 hours- gently scoop out the seed with a spoon and place/cover in 1/2” deep in good potting soil or preferably in a soaked Jiffy pellet/peat pellet (buy Jiffy pellets from Amazon or local hardware/garden store).

* Keep the soil/pellet moist (not soaked) and warm under your grow lights

* Royal Dwarf seeds should sprout within 3-8 days

*After the little seedling has grown to around 3″ tall- transfer him to his new home and enjoy the ride!*

Side Note: Some suggest germinating cannabis seeds using a wet paper towel on a plate/tweezer method. We find that this method is not the best for cannabis seeds because paper towels dry out quickly and getting the germinating seeds out of the paper towel can be clumsy damaging the seedling. Using tweezers can be dangerous as soaked seeds are much more fragile.
