Growing Purple Ghost Candy Feminized Strain

Purple Ghost Candy Feminized plants are vigorous and fast in their growth with many branches. If you’re growing them outside, it’s a good idea to prop the lateral branches because they can be very tall, up to 7-10 feet. If you are growing them indoors, don’t let them get too big before they start flowering unless you have a lot of space. With a SCRoG set-up, you can control the plants’ height and get the maximum yields.

In the house, the Purple Ghost Candy plants grow to about the height of 4-5 feet and they need 70-84 days to flower. You will have the yields of 500-600 gr/m2. Out there, you can pick up harvest in October and get from 700 to 900 gr per plant. The buds have huge resin golden crystals that are to be seen after just a week or two of flowering. They have a really strong smell and the colors are breathtaking, from the lime green and ending with the yellows, reds, and oranges. The tips become dark red or purple and can be either pastel or shiny.

You have to supply and ventilate the plants a lot within the first 8 weeks, but then you can reduce it. In the last week, flush the plants with iced water to bring out the colors. The buds are of a medium density and have a lime green and purple pastel shades. They are resinous and hence the smoke or vapor is thick and mild.

How to Germinate Your Purple Ghost Candy Feminized Seeds

PLEASE follow these 3 simple steps for the best results: 

1) Empty your Purple Ghost Candy feminized cannabis seed from the capsule you received in a cup of purified room-temperature water. Don’t worry if it sinks or floats.

2) Place the container in a dark warm place (like a kitchen cabinet) for 24-48 hours, but no longer! You do NOT want a long and very delicate tap root to be growing at this stage-

3) After the 24-48 hours- gently scoop out the seed with a spoon and place/cover it 1/2” deep in good potting soil or preferably in a soaked Jiffy pellet/peat pellet (buy Jiffy pellets from Amazon or local hardware/garden store).

* Keep the soil/pellet moist (not soaked) and warm under your grow lights

* Purple Ghost Candy seed should sprout within 3-10 days

*After the little seedling has grown to around 3″ tall- transfer him to his new home and enjoy the ride!*

Side Note: Some suggest germinating cannabis seeds using a wet paper towel on a plate/tweezer method. We find that this method is not the best for cannabis seeds because paper towels dry out quickly and getting the germinating seeds out of the paper towel can be clumsy damaging the seedling. Using tweezers can be dangerous as soaked seeds are much more fragile. We like to play it safe and germinate cannabis seeds using purified water and jiffy pellets which are specifically designed to easily germinate seeds.
