Growing Purple Ghost Candy Feminized Strain

Purple Ghost Candy Feminized plants are strong and grow quickly with lots of branches. If you’re growing them outside, it’s a good idea to support the lateral branches because they can get really tall, up to 7-10 feet. If you’re growing them inside, don’t let them grow too big before they start flowering unless you have a lot of space. Using a SCRoG set-up can help keep the plants shorter and give you bigger yields.

Indoors, Purple Ghost Candy plants grow to about 4-5 feet and take 70-84 days to flower. You can get yields of 500-600 gr/m2. Outside, you can harvest in October and get between 700-900 gr per plant. The buds have big, golden resin crystals that start to show after just a week or two of flowering. They smell really strong and the colors are amazing, starting with lime green and fading into yellows, reds, and oranges. The tips turn dark red or purple and can be pastel or glossy.

You need to feed and ventilate the plants a lot during the first 8 weeks, but then you can taper off. In the last week, flush the plants with iced water to help the colors develop. The buds are medium density and have lime green and purple pastel shades. They’re really resinous, so the smoke or vapor is thick and mild.

How to Germinate Your Purple Ghost Candy Feminized Seeds

PLEASE follow these 3 simple steps for the best results: 

1) Empty your Purple Ghost Candy feminized cannabis seed from the capsule you received in a cup of purified room-temperature water. Don’t worry if it sinks or floats.

2) Place the container in a dark warm place (like a kitchen cabinet) for 24-48 hours, but no longer! You do NOT want a long and very delicate tap root to be growing at this stage-

3) After the 24-48 hours- gently scoop out the seed with a spoon and place/cover it 1/2” deep in good potting soil or preferably in a soaked Jiffy pellet/peat pellet (buy Jiffy pellets from Amazon or local hardware/garden store).

* Keep the soil/pellet moist (not soaked) and warm under your grow lights

* Purple Ghost Candy seed should sprout within 3-10 days

*After the little seedling has grown to around 3″ tall- transfer him to his new home and enjoy the ride!*

Side Note: Some suggest germinating cannabis seeds using a wet paper towel on a plate/tweezer method. We find that this method is not the best for cannabis seeds because paper towels dry out quickly and getting the germinating seeds out of the paper towel can be clumsy damaging the seedling. Using tweezers can be dangerous as soaked seeds are much more fragile. We like to play it safe and germinate cannabis seeds using purified water and jiffy pellets which are specifically designed to easily germinate seeds.
