Growing Fuel D.OG Feminized Strain

This strain is gentle and forgiving in nature and as a result is ideal for more novice growers. Despite undergoing the sativa stretch, its sturdy central stem eliminates the need for support during the flowering stage. Leaves tend to be broad and Indica in look during vegetative growth, with seven to eleven overlapping blades.

The plants produce a subtle citric aroma which has fuel and Skunk undertones. The main stem is encircled with big pointed spear buds that make it look like a crown. In ideal outdoor growing conditions, these plants can grow up to 11 feet!

When grown indoors, Fuel D.OG strain yields will be in the range of 450 – 600 gr/m2 in 65 – 70 days of flowering. Resin starts to appear in the developing buds in the third week. The height of the plants can be managed in an indoor environment through plant training and the SCRoG technique.

Outdoor cultivation will bring about 700-800 gr. of very large sticky buds, with northern hemisphere harvests by early October. The high density of trichomes and terpenes that this strain boasts, together with the quality of its resin, are perfect for extract and concentrate producers.

The buds of the Fuel D.OG strain are dense and dark green to begin with, but they turn lighter yellow or lime green as they ripen. The plants enter the highest nutrient uptake during week 6 of flowering and should be fed in cycles. But feeding should be reduced and finished with a flush in the last week. When dried and cured, the buds become very solid and get large calyxes.

How to Germinate Your Fuel D.OG Feminized Seeds

PLEASE follow these 3 simple steps for best results: 

1) Empty your Fuel D.OG feminized cannabis seed from the capsule you received in a cup of purified room-temperature water. Don’t worry if it sinks or floats.

2) Place container in a dark warm place (like a kitchen cabinet) for 24-48 hours, but no longer! You do NOT want a long and very delicate tap root to be growing at this stage-

3) After the 24-48 hours- gently scoop out the seed with a spoon and place/cover in 1/2” deep in good potting soil or preferably in a soaked Jiffy pellet/peat pellet (buy Jiffy pellets from Amazon or local hardware/garden store).

* Keep the soil/pellet moist (not soaked) and warm under your grow lights

* Fuel D.OG seeds should sprout within 3-10 days 

*After the little seedling has grown to around 3″ tall- transfer him to his new home and enjoy the ride!*

Side Note: Some suggest germinating cannabis seeds using a wet paper towel on a plate/tweezer method. We find that this method is not the best for cannabis seeds because paper towels dry out quickly and getting the germinating seeds out of the paper towel can be clumsy damaging the seedling. Using tweezers can be dangerous as soaked seeds are much more fragile. We like to play it safe and germinate cannabis seeds using purified water and jiffy pellets which are specifically designed to easily germinate seeds.
